I also miss the old ragers, and that might be the problem. There are a lot of Ragers that do a good job at what they're supposed to be doing, killing mages, being Honorable and brave in combat. Heck, I even dueled a few of y'all and had some rather good RP debating Honor and stuff. The problem I saw from my perspective is that Ragers seemed to be moving more and more twords a type of RP more consistant with a schoolyard bully than a honorable warrior. Someone who targets people unable to fight back at the exclusion of a real fight. Yes, I moaned about the incessant wars against what is my favorite cabal, so my judgement may be a little tainted. Though I and other Arbiters like Grallon may seemingly wine, the reason ragers have fought arbiters so much is quite simply because they can with little or no risk of reprisal due to the non-involvement rule we have. Yes, it's necessary to maintain game balance, but Battle abuses this quite often because it's an easy win with little risk. There are just as many, often more, mages in Sylvan yet they ever war with them. Why? Because Sylvan has excellent PK skills that can be used against anyone, not just criminals, nor do they have any internal regulations against taking Battles Cabal item in reprisal, unlike arbies. The same thing with the alliance with the Empire, of all cabals. Half of the sects are 100% magical, yet the Codex, a item that gives magical skills by the way, went untouched. Why? Fear of reprisal. The blade and divine sects would not of been able to maintain an alliance had the Codex been taken. What really got my goat was that within 4 *days* after the arbiter-battle war was approved by Bria, all of the Battleragers who were the loudest in their critiscism of Arbiters, the Battleragers who would gangbang and/or kill freshly unghosted arbiters, the Battleragers who were the biggest bullies and loudmouths were the *first* to delete when they actually had a fight on their hands. It just brought back images of the schoolyard bully that cries to the teacher whe the kid he's been stealing lunch money from fially gets pissed off and decks him. Not exactly the type of role consistant with a feral warrior. What also made me mad is that the good ragers, the ones like Magtograme, Thinie, and Aniedra who got stuck with that overwhealming 3-cabal Alliance of Order myself, Imbrogno, and Hifflio pieced together, now suffered because they did the right thing, didn't cabal hop or abandon their role. Because they did the right thing and RPed, they got stomped hard and it wasn't their fault, it was the fault of...well...never mind. Perhaps this is why the Imms are stepping in. To make ragers warriors again instead of schoolyard bullies.
