First off, maybe try cutting the cord to gaming (CF and otherwise) for a while - maybe permanently. Instead, try doing things that involve your kids, your wife, and yes, even your family. Here is the catch though: don't make your plans _dependent_ on the participation or presence of your siblings and parents. Just toss out an invitation here and there, but go ahead and do X anyway.
Also, when you are struggling to fill the time that used to be filled by games, try a constructive hobby that could lead to a source of under-the-table income. For example, I do artistic stuff. With no attempt to advertise at all, I still typically get a project or two per month for friends (and strangers). Some are paid, some aren't, but all of it goes towards getting my name out there and building up a body of work. Once you get something like that going, whether it's art, woodworking, landscaping, gardening, home renovation, etc etc etc, it becomes a snowball effect. Eventually you might just find that your hobby can become your job, and your job won't feel like work anymore.
My family has some immense strains upon it, and has for a long time. Having friends who have nothing to do with your family is a really good thing. Go hang out when you can, drink some beers and shoot some shit.
