Don't try to condescend to me. It legitimately does not matter to me what he thinks.
Well, that's not true. Obviously I would rather he agree with me. But he's made up his mind.
"If there is evidence
HE WILL CHANGE HIS OPINION"
That's not remotely true.
How often are people actually convinced in online debates? I can count the number of times I've seen it happen on one hand. Conversations like this are a waste of time. The facts are out there and they are not hard to find. Presumably he's seen them. And I guarantee you this is not the first time he's had this conversation. Someone else has shown them to him (expending time and effort in doing so.)
And they didn't convince him. For whatever reason.
So my advice to people is, don't bother. He's not a politician (hopefully) or someone with influence. He doesn't matter. And even if he's the exception and he's the one conspiracy theorist who can actually be convinced - he's still one person, against millions.
He is not holding this discussion in good faith. He's not looking to have a productive discussion, he's looking to Show Us Up. Why should we futilely try to convince him, eating a lot of stupid insults in the process? That's what I'm saying.
