You work in the medical field so treatment isn't the option. But nonexistance is a better alternative to...losing a job? Here's some reality that might help: Your job isn't as important as your happiness. If you're not happy, then who cares? And yes, I realize that that involves a lot of selfish motivation, but the reality is that if you're not happy, you should be doing something different. Don't get stuck thinking that you have to have a job, pay bills, be responsible, or that you have to fit in with a societal expectation (Read: Not depressed). Responsibility is good, but being alive is better.
If push comes to shove, instead of paying your bills, buy a one way ticket to hawaii and live on the beach for a while. Don't worry about your bills. Don't worry about anything except doing something you WANT to that's not drugs or sex. The reason I suggest that isn't because of moral issues with drugs or sex, but rather the fact that they both only offer temporary relief to the problem of depression/loneliness/anger/etc.
As much as I hate so many of you people here in CF, I would honestly be sad if one of you went below 3 con. PM me if you have a situation that I might be able to help with - seriously.
