Quotedeath_clawIf they are overpowered with certain combos those combos should be downgraded. If they are underpowered with certain combos those combos need to be upgraded. If too many people play them, they should increase the XP penalty, limit race choices, etc.
But once you've rolled the character you shouldn't roll a die to see whether or not you randomly get screwed by your cl
They are already quite nice and have a great deal of power on a stick. I think they are less challenging to play than, for example, a warrior.
They seem to be among the most popular classes.
The only two drawbacks (for me, personally) to playing a shifter are (1) boredom, and (2) random forms (I can't min/max the combo I want). Boredom may have been addressed with Zulg's changes (

I can't really figure out what the draw is to Clinton besides some sort of rose-colored glasses view with regards to the first Clinton administration. As for Huckabee, I guess there's still more single-issue voters than I give credit for and honestly I was hoping they'd go for Paul (which shows my
QuoteThe_LordIf you'd actually read what I wrote you'd see that I said it was not about getting any meaningful amount of xp. It is the echo. Hence my saying 1 or 10 xp, which has no impact.
In fact, I think someone DID bitch on Officials (I think it was Pro) about getting 1 exp for an Immteraction - saying it is a slap in the face, akin to tossing two pennies at a panhandler.

I've played ~3 Brigade characters and never knew you could do that, never saw anyone do that, etc. Until I saw another maran do it while I was raiding.

I didn't even know this was possible until I saw someone do it a month ago :P
Was it always possible? how embarassing.
QuoteBalrahdBut success at CF does impact how much time you have to spend on other hobbies.
Work? No. Significant others? Nope. School? Nope. Money? Nope. All of these things co-exist with being successful at CF. But having all these things and 2-3 hours a day to spend on another hobby? That's hard. There's only so much time in the day.

I was planning to let it slide until this morning when I picked up the paper and there in the Insight section is an article about American students "forgetting" history knowledge.
So there it is - while mamluks were often plucked from the ranks of non-muslim children, many/most converted to Islam during the course of their training. Moreover, "Mamluk" began to take on a di
We do keep the doors open when the kid's asleep, but we also respect each other's space when we're doing separate activities. Like, if she's in my work room on the internet or whatever, I'm not going to be bending my head around the corner every 10 minutes checking in on her. And likewise.
So maybe this isn't necessarily a closed door issue, but more of a &quo
I could never understand why he got away with the Arbiter abuse even after I repeatedly reported his activities to the Arbiter Imms. It made sense when I later found out it was Sacer :P
QuoteWildGirl True, a lot of people won't wait long after you ambush, so why always use it as an opening move?
Because the majority of your enemies will neutralize your ambush immediately after you attack, unless you do so much damage so quickly they get freaked out and flee instead of neutralizing it. If you open with vengeance, you will not get the opportunity to ambush the majority o
I was playing a character that had a hard time meleeing Niheriva straight up at the time when Kubiliak posted like 5 logs just annihilating Niheriva with whomp (or whatever that orc skill is that breaks your shield arm). I studied those logs fairly hard. I was thinking "Shit, if I can kotegaeshi that shield, I can do it too!" Of course, Kubilak's bash and cheap shot helped, too
Thinking.. I have one of what? There was a mixture of dread and curiousity :)
Thanks for the compliment. A lot of times I feel like I just play the same archetype over and over with different speach patterns. I have a really cool character concept that I'm trying to rank up out of lowbie range right now, though, that I've wanted to play for over two years (!) that will be differen
Eyejab seemed to take the biggest hit from the low dex. Choke was not very reliable, either.
The thing is, giant dex is so bad that it's a challenge to get fancy with the spec, even when you're wielding a sword in your main hand and have balance of the sisters. So simple seems the most effective. For example: A lot of times, the best way to fight warriors/rangers/assassins/thieve

Somehow you must have missed the Lone Star State flags. And the UT hats. And the general appearance of the white mob. Could it BE any more Texas? I guess there could have been some BBQ brisket...
Anyway, I am American, and I actually do travel to Texas 2 months out of the year (Houston/TexArkana/Marshall) for work. So no, the location of that non-event confrontation didn't surprise m
Seriously. what does your title have to do with this post?
I read your comments to Graham and Blackbird and I still don't get it. Were you being tongue in cheek by saying "Times are a changin"? Are you saying Texans are becoming more understanding of race issues because 50 years ago that white mob would have been violent? Are you saying that Texans are becoming less tolerant
