If you are talking about seeing a particular item, it's possible that item's value was reduced.
Every item has a rough value and each shopkeeper has a list of item types that they like. Some shopkeepers may spend more on treasure, for example, than others, while still other shopkeepers won't buy it at all.
As far as I can tell (by playing a lowbie and farming 20-30 gold by se
Low level characters will autodelete sooner than 30 days. You have one
week of not playing at level 1 before you will delete, and you have two
weeks of not playing from level 2 through 10 before you will autodelete.
Levels 11 and up have the standard 30 day deletion.

> 1. I play during certain hours. I notice that cabal X is often in power during these hours. Not wanting to be without cabal powers, I decide to roll a character and try to join X.
Some folks prefer underdogs, while others prefer to play wherever the upswing is. I would say this is completely legitimate and qui
Sometimes people coordinate their logins OOC. One guy (sometimes a "power house") will login and then all his buddies from IRC, AIM, etc., may follow suite because the original guy said "Yo, I'm on CF now.". This is shady, but it's really hard to prove and it probably happens less than you think.
I've heard people say things like "Well gee, those 2-3 guy
> 1) Am I going to need to worry much about weight? Keep it around half or can I carry more?
I like to keep my weight down so that I can: dodge better, carry preps, loot stuff I want, etc. I wouldn't obsess over this, but always be mindful of it. Most dexy builds have so many things going for them in favor of dodge, for example, that being a few pounds over the carry weight you'd
You can import all your bootleg mp3s into iTunes no problem, and then either manually sync them to your iPod or just sync the entire library. It works just fine.
As far as I know, you can't do the same with video files though. I tried copying a bunch of bittorrented TV episodes onto my iPhone recently and had no luck. Music works fine though.
> I'm intrigued by the device (whatever it may have been) that dismissed a Conjie's pets in a recent log. I figure there's more stuff like that.
I wouldn't get my hopes up about that. There is definitely a lot of proggy gear in the game (most of which doesn't care if you're a mage), but that particular item is top 10%.

I've played a bunch of Villagers and it has resulted in a tremendous deficit of game knowledge for me. I know shit about magical items.
I know where to get dozens of things to shake the veil, but have no idea what any of them do.
I don't even know exactly where to get those stoneskin fillets.
I've played to OG Conjies to hero to do some exploring, but I found
There are few MUDs that "feel" a little like CF. Here's a list of the ones I'm familiar with. I haven't connected to any of these in quite some time, and as far as I'm concerned none of them are as good as CF (based on a number of factors).
And probably the least like CF, but a MUD a friend of mine used to play...
And then there's POS. I
You'll have a lot more mana for healing up, maintaining supplications, etc., plus you've got good dex for evade. Not to mention that hydrophobia shit dwarves have is annoying as hell.
No to human or halfie. Runner up is definitely storm or dwarf. Storms get the bonus of resist physical and the ability to wield two-handed swords as a shield dedication. A dwarf gets really nice HP, som

He's bringing the action to you at typically a disadvantage, why punish him? You should applaud him.
Also, 'run from fights you didn't start, always carry a teleport potion', that's common advice. It's the smart thing to do, but it's also conservative, and it's pretty standard these days.
If someone is trying to explore, gain levels, etc
Which means a giant with STSF would, in theory, work alright against a character with 8 intelligence.
This is also why the few maledictions that drop intelligence are actually useful in the rare occasion you have them and are fighting a STSF build. Whether it's really going to help in the long run is questionable, but the tactic is there.
Bottom line though: No. Don't take strikin
A water/utility or water/water shifter does really well. To be really effective, you'll want one of the top water forms plus regen.
Rangers do okay too because they tank well, do damage, have healing, can use preps (anytime, versus just out of form), can maledict to a degree, etc.
The best, however, is probably just a straight up defensive Paladin. A decked shield Paladin is going to d
Hitting you with an area spell doesn't count IF they are already targeting someone.
Multiple attackers can be targeting a single person (ie, you can be getting gang-raped), but an attacker can't target more than one person in melee at a time. In order to "hit" an attacker, they must be directing their melee at you.
If I'm hitting the imperial assassin in melee while
As long as the person is fighting you (as in you're taking hits from them) you can "hit attacker". If they aren't attacking you directly, you can initiate with dirt / pincer / etc. and then "hit" them.
In the case of NPCs, sometimes if a two NPCs with the same name assist or something like that, you'll have to do "hit solider" when you'd think
I've had a handful of characters get evade to 85-88% or so through "skill learn".
You can "practice" evade by fighting a lot of mobs that perfect skills like bash, trip, disarm, warrior specs, etc., and of course the normal rules apply (higher level mobs work better). This, of course, is absolutely no fun.
It's just like any other skill, only it's improve
And for the most part, the same goes for most areas when it comes to meddling with them. The whole point is that it never changed because Scar wasn't there to change it, and now that he is, it's a matter of whether he wants to.
The thread isn't about one area (or set) though. Hell was simply the example provided.
Nonetheless, the point is areas built before observation / exploration XP went in tend to be the ones that don't give any/much, especially if they haven't been updated in the past few years or the original author isn't on the staff anymore.
It's up to the author to decide whether or not the NPCs and objects in their areas give XP, and how much (within reason, of course), so
Observation / exploration XP is based largely on when the area was written, since the "feature" didn't always exist. If it's an old area (like the 1st Circle of Hell) it's going to suck unless the author has gone back and spruced it up.
Now that Scar is back, I wouldn't be surprised to see things like this get cleared up.
Although you definitely don't need a fucking hell hound guarding your house, unless you want one.
Any dog too large to punt, with a decent bark is going to ward off most intruders for fear of getting bit and the noise it's going to make.
As for a weapon, take your pick. There are dozens of battering / smashing weapons available. None of that stuff is going to be anywhere near as e
