Playing without cabal is boring and those powers aren't ranked level 40 or something. They are generally given in the teen ranks, the first ones at least. Cabals should be easy in. CF is a game and people are supposed to have fun playing it, not getting bored waiting to get in cabal. Ideally, people should be getting inducted in the teen ranks. However, I don't see how Warren's sug
They only worked for people who cheated the system by making wand lists and running beeline from spot to spot to check them. Thus people like me never found sleeks while some people had barrier wands growing as ass mushrooms which they plucked whenever they needed a wand.
1) Not everyone wants to fess up their characters.
2) Some characters are throwaways.
How many of those posts with no response are for passed away midbies?
Death Angel posts your thread on the Officials. Some people can't behave in the officials and get banned from there, but other than that, it's the same community. A community that generally reads both sites.
As for the phone numbers, we did it by having a phone book next to the phone where we wrote up all the phone numbers and looked them up if we didn't remember them.
1) Less skill % grind with bad luck
2) Faster and easier cabal inductions, with no compulsory recommendations or application letters. I don't like writing those.
3) People to play and interact with.
4) Retaining meaningful RP interactions and relations with less of a time sink.

There are also very few people I'm biased against in the forums. I also don't tend to recognize people in the game as forum users. I don't recall my character ever being outed in the forums either. So I don't really have an informed answer to this. Some players do change their behaviour based on who they think the player is, so there is a reason for rule 4 to be there.

Rangers are very mobile due to pathfinding. That low movement cost allows you to prowl entire Thera. The stalk and wait part comes when you find someone.
Possibly dismiss when timer is running low, stopping to reconjure, possibly sleeping a couple of ticks to fill mana. It's not a huge deal, but you need to be aware when your elemental/archon is going to leave. Usually the reconjuration timer gives you an idea when that's going to happen. Other mages have to manage timers as well, since they have dam redux spells that you don't want
And if the computation isn't heavy, you can probably do it with Matlab. C/C++, as languages, are signifigantly faster than Matlab. If the task is going to take hours/days to calculate, then you're going to want the fast method that does the same thing in shorter time.
Meaningless lowbies of very low level don't count. I don't list limited races. I haven't played them.
Haven't played:
Classes:
A-P,Paladin, Necro, Shaman, Druid
Races:
Dwarf, Duergar, Storm Giant, Fire giant, dark elf, wood-elf
They had strict honor code and such. I think one of the Knight powers was force duel. I don't know the specifics of that power, other than it forced duel to the death between the knight and his opponent in some fashion. I assume it got disbanded due to players not being honorable enough for it to work or something.
