Ambush DOES have a timer. It's 0 hours. That makes most of what you're saying in this thread misinfo (e.g., retreat = instant ambush death). 0 hours isn't long, but it's long enough to eliminate the possibility for 2 ambushes if that's what you want to do.
Flurry spec DOES kill rangers. I've played this from both sides. Rangers don't dodge flurries, Warr
I think it's about an even fight in the wilds, where they can use all their class abilities and you can use all yours. Whereas rangers in civilized areas are severely crippled. Essentially, they're an unholy-less AP that can't cast, trip, cleave, or bash. Ouch.
Because I've spent ~2k hours playing rangers over the last few years, I am extremely sympathetic with their ted
All that is true, plus the only power warriors have to gain after level 40 are legacies .. which you don't really need until the hero range. I agree that overall ragers are more powerful pre-hero.
On the other hand, ragers are much easier to kill pre-hero because they are more susceptible to movement loss tactics and timed damage attacks (e.g., bleeding). If you can take advantage of th
You can't save against the worms' effect (?).
The worms kill you over time (?).
You cannot stop the worms from killing you over time (?).
When you die, you automatically become a zombie that holds all your non-silver gear (?).
When you kill the zombie, only a few of your items will drop (?).
And the only defense to the above is to remove all;drop all in some safe place before the w
It also doesn't work with a bow. It's a "situational" type skill that you use in fights were a bow isn't as useful (i.e., you're fighting a guy that can dodge alot). I agree it's not "powerful" (it's not like you're going to hit 8 attacks a round) but it doesn't "suck." Just another non-powerful option for hunters. You
I played football/sports in Jr. High/High School, and went to a bohemian West Coast school that completely brainwashed me against "mainstream culture." UC Santa Cruz, for those in the know. :) Anyway, a couple years back some co-workers convinced me to join a fantasy league and before I knew it I was watching 6-8 games a week to keep up to date.
Fantasy football is good because
Other than that, I read your post twice now and although it's interesting, I still don't understand how you disagree with me. Here's what I'm getting:
Me: Anathema for breaking imperial law. Demote for stupid stuff. Demotion is not an effective deterrant to breaking imperial law, especially in a cabal known for its OOC cliques.
You: I demoted Jalim for stupid stuff.
Where did Talund go?
What happened to Ahtieli's army?
Why didn't they just leave after taking the fetish?
Did they fight another Outlander in between or something?
It's just funny how 12 hours pass in between logs and the situation is completely different.

You lose powers from demotion. There is no way to pick and choose what powers you lose from Village for instance. If you want Anathema to be the rule rather than the exception, you probably need a lobotomy. Goodies, especially noobs, walk a far wider line than Imperials and are far less likely to be punished for less-than-good actions whether by cabal leaders (impossible to police)

Some terrible imperials break imperial law and get away with it because it is not enforced without active and aggressive Imperial Immortals, or active well-roleplayed mortal Imperial Leaders willing to anathema and weaken their cabal numbers wise.
Sooner or later any imperial who breaks law of purpose will have to pay for that. Except you delete before it happens. Just
Some terrible imperials break imperial law and get away with it because it is not enforced without active and aggressive Imperial Immortals, or active well-roleplayed mortal Imperial Leaders willing to anathema and weaken their cabal numbers wise. Most of the time I think you're right - imperials that want to succeed with their characters don't break imperial law. But obviously some w
And I've felt the same way abernyte does. Only I don't bother to post about it or call people out because (1) it's not worth it, (2) I don't feel like creating a massive flamestorm, (3) I think the better approach is to just log out or avoid them in game and liberally use the ignore command, and (4) I don't want to go down the path of Pro.
Keep in mind, there are a co
I don't think Ahtieli is one of them. But there are a couple people (e.g., Beront) where you can pretty clearly tell from their forum posts and their characters "RP" and actions that they would be happy if CF's numbers dwindled to prove their "point."
I'm not sure where it came from. It's not in the helpfile.
IMO whirlwind of steel gives about the same results as imperial training offense. So if your character is an imperial I do not think you will notice a significant increase in attacks. If you're not an imperial, you'll probably attempt 4-8 attacks most rounds, mostly on the lower end of that spectrum. Look at Aga
Seriously, how cool would it be to play a Green Arrow type character? Or a Legolas Jr.? Or Menion Leah? And so on.
It wouldn't take much to make hunters decent .. just give them dual wield. Please. That is all.
